Vanessa Jorgensen is a native of the Lakes Area and has over 20 years of experience working with children and families in Northwest Iowa. Vanessa holds a master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Iowa.

Vanessa specializes in working with children and adolescents with challenging behaviors and individuals with disabilities. She has experience working with individuals with trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, autism, intellectual disabilities, and ADHD. Throughout her years in the field Vanessa has been trained in multiple modalities including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Love and Logic, and Reflective Consultation.

Along with these modalities, Vanessa is trained in various interventions such as emotion regulation, feelings identification, social-emotional learning (SEL), and challenging behavior modification programs.
